I recently had the honor of interviewing my good friend Nicole Mills for an article on Fstoppers. Nicole is a super talented portrait photographer based in the Rochester, MN area. Portrait Photographer from Amarillo, TX joins Fstoppers.com Staff

Several weeks ago I was approached by one of the editors of a popular photography website, Fstoppers.com, to join their staff as a writer. I was totally happy to jump on board. As a photographer who studies and educates myself on the craft every single day, I have followed Fstoppers for years, gleaning tons of information from their articles and video tutorials. Being asked to join the ranks of the amazing photographers and educators on their site is beyond an honor. 

I will be contributing to the site weekly, and my first article was published on January 30th. You can view it here. In it, I discuss ways that my photography sessions have improved through thorough client consultations. You see, I learned a while back that by offering more and better service to my clients, I would become a better photographer and I would produce well-thought-out images that would be cherished and adored by clients for years to come. I want to create the photos that every client dreams of having, and those are just not possible with a rushed, thrown together, on-the-fly photoshoot. I hope that my clients will agree, the extra time and care spent is priceless. 

Amarillo Portrait Photographer | Jenny Edwards Photo Merit Awards

I recently began my journey on the road to earning points towards my accreditation as a Portrait Master. I am thrilled to say that on my first submission round, I earned three bronze merits and one silver merit, and that two of my images placed in the top 20 in their respective categories out of thousands of images submitted internationally. This is a huge honor for me, and I am forever grateful for the opportunities that my clients and friends have afforded me to be able to do this thing that I love so much!

The second round of submissions ended last week, and I entered several photos of my wonderful clients, so stay tuned, your photo just might be a winner!!

Well, that isn't entirely true.  Actually, there stood two cardboard boxes, but who doesn't get giddy when someone leaves a cardboard box on their porch??  This girl sure does, because inside these boxes are my latest product offering, leather portfolio boxes, custom made in Italy.  These are the crème de la crème when it comes to housing and displaying your heirloom photographs.  They come in a wide array of colors and materials, and they can be customized with your family name or whatever you'd like to have embossed on the front.  You should come by the studio for a consultation so that you can feel how fabulous these are.  The leather smells heavenly!  I also offer vegan leather and other non-leather options, so there is truly something for everyone!
